Watching Virender Sehwag play on the field used to be a delight. Although he has retired now and can’t really keep us entertained through his fours and sixes, he uses the savagery his words have pretty often to help us feel the game.
It used to be a treat to watch him play on the field and now it’s a treat to read his posts on Twitter.
When India defeated Pakistan by 124 runs on June 4, 2017, Sehwag posted a hilarious tweet celebrating India’s victory. His excitement was clearly visible in his congratulatory tweet. Here’s what the Nawab Of Najafgarh posted:

It was all going fine but then, we came across this video of former Pakistani captain and wicket keeper Rashid Latif blasting Virender Sehwag for celebrating India’s victory on Twitter. Latif, who looks pretty agitated with Sehwag’s choice of words in the video is seen reminding him of a test match that happened in Chennai where apparently, four of Indian team’s baaps were playing and Pakistan took the trophy home. He doesn’t stop there and continues to badmouth Sehwag and the entire team.
Watch the video below:
Rashid Latif’s views could have created a problem if Viru would have decided to give him a fitting reply. However, the cricketer decided to give a sensible response and this is what he tweeted in reply to Latif’s video.
A meaningful silence is always better than meaningless words.
