Though it’s smaller than previous location, more famous abode, it’s still a lavish residence in a desirable area of the nation’s capital. The eight-bedroom, 10-bathroom home was built in 1921 and renovated in 2011.
Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the living area with light — perfect for when the Obamas are missing their days vacationing in the Caribbean or when their oldest daughter, Malia, is home during her gap year.
It’s completely gated and private, though it sits close to the road.
The fireplace and mantle lend the home a rustic charm.
The family room has a wall of sunny windows overlooking the garden out back.
