Man Asked Bar Staff To Spy On His Girlfriend And Then This Happened

We all get jealous sometimes, but there’s that thing called trust which is hopefully held in relationships, especially when a couple is engaged, that stops you doing creepy paranoid shit.

A Newcastle bar has slammed a jealous boyfriend for asking staff to spy on his girlfriend.

The venue, called Filthy’s in the town centre, didn’t ‘out’ the man but did post a screenshot of his alleged text message, in which he offers to pay the club money to keep an eye on his partner.

The woman was apparently out for a friend’s hen party. Her boyfriend asked Filthy’s to ensure no men spoke to the group.

The text message reads:

Hi, my girlfriend is headed with a hen party this weekend to Flithys. I was wondering if I would be able to pay a staff member to keep an eye on her and make sure theres no men at their table etc. I dont want the staff member to let the group know their watching though!

Filthy’s posted the text to Facebook – and confirmed that no, employees would not ‘keep an eye’ on customers. Though they would be happy to offer other services.

The bar wrote:

For anybody else considering offering us cash to casually stalk their partners. We are a bar, not private investigators or professional perverts.

We can however add some finishing touches to the reserved area such as personalised name cards and bubbly on arrival!

Filthy’s Marketing Manager Stephen said:

I thought to myself is this guy seriously willing to embarrass himself by mailing us, what a poor girl!

We like to approach things fairly directly with the page and have a laugh and I wanted to serve some form of justice on him for being seemingly very controlling.

He hasn’t been in touch, but I think it’s perhaps in case he gets another public roasting haha.

Sadly neither the suspicious guy, nor his fiancee has come forward, but if she ever does, Stephen assured me they ‘would have given her some advice on getting rid of him!’.

You’ve got to have respect and trust, lad!

Hundreds of people have liked the post on Facebook and the majority of comments condemned the boyfriend’s controlling behaviour, with some branding him a psycho.
