“Namami Brahmaputra” -Amitabh Bachchan and many singers sang a beautiful song.

It is a river festival organised across 21 districts of Assam from March 31 to April 4, 2017.

Brahmaputra, India’s only male river and one of the most powerful rivers of the world. To pay fitting tribute to the river’s life-giving prosperity and countless blessings, a five day long event, “Namami Brahmaputra” is being organized.

For this festival Papon and many bollywood singers including Amitabh Bachchan, Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghosal, Sonu Nigam, Zubeen Garg, Kailash Kher, Vishal Dadlani, Shekhar Ravjiani, Shubha Mudgal,  Shillong Chamber Choir, Usha Uthup, Shaan and Harshdeep Kaur sang a beautiful song which describes the culture of Assam. The video shows the mighty Brahmaputra, considered to be the son of Brahma.

Assamese version of the song also sang by many assamese singers like Archana Mahanta, Angaraag Papon Mahanta, Mridula Das, Zubeen Garg, Pulak Banerjee, Jitul Sonowal, Tarali Sarma, Namita Bhattacharya, Kalpana Patowary, Malabika Bora, Shillong Choir, Mayukh Hazarika, Rupam Bhuyan, Manjyotsna Goswami Mahanta, Nilima Khatun, Santa Uzir and Joi Barua.
