Portland Man Dies A Hero After Saving Two Muslim Girls From Racist

Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche was stabbed to death on a train on May 26 in Portland, Oregon.

Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche was one of two men who were stabbed to death. Police named the other man who died as Ricky John Best, 53, a father of four and an Army veteran.

On Friday afternoon, two teenage girls, one of the teenagers was Muslim and wearing a hijab, while the other was black boarded a train in Portland. Jeremy Joseph Christian the attacker was yelling racist comments like ‘‘all Muslims must die’ and lot of biased languages.

Fifty-three-year-old Army veteran Ricky John Best, a father of four, died at the scene, while 23-year-old Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche, a recent college graduate, died after being transported to a local hospital.

A third man, 21-year-old Micah David-Cole Fletcher is recovering from serious wounds he received during the attack. All three men are being hailed as heroes.

The attacker, 35-year-old Jeremy Joseph Christian, fled the scene but was later arrested and is currently being held without bail on counts of aggravated murder, attempted murder, and other charges.

Namkai-Meche’s mother paid a beautiful tribute to her “dear baby boy” on Facebook. Rest in Peace, Taliesin and John, you truly are heroes!
