There are a few people in the Indian film industry who does not need any introduction and Priyanka Chopra aka PeeCee is one of those. The journey that Priyanka has covered from Miss World to a world-famous actress is commendable. She has always managed to rule our hearts with her grace, beauty, intelligence, and of course talent. Her hard work has even landed her in Hollywood. She is one of the few Indian actresses who has represented herself on an international platform and gave India some memorable moments to take pride.
Priyanka has even made it to the Forbes list of top 10 Indian celebrities. It won’t be wrong to say that she is the woman who is making her name in the man’s world and proving that women are no less than men. We have often seen actresses talking about the gender discrimination that takes place in Bollywood when it comes to payments. However, it is Priyanka who is breaking all the stereotypes.
When the news came out that PeeCee is charging almost Rs 4-5 crore for five minutes, a leading media portal presented the news with a sexist headline. Showing surprise towards the fees, here’s what they tweeted:

Even famous Indian critic, Rajiv Masand came out in Priyanka’s support and called it regressive to post such sexist headlines for the news.
Why is this SHOCKING? About time the women got paid as much as men! It’s this regressive attitude that’s got to change. https://t.co/xnngwMaJOa

But, Priyanka had something really savage to say when asked about such headlines. Talking to NDTV during Penguin Annual Lecture, Priyanka expressed herself on this issue, and said,
“The boys are never asked this question. Their zeroes are ridiculous. Have you even seen the zeroes that they get on their cheques? We should be celebrating that at least there’rs one girl who has gone out there.”
Talking about the existing gender gap in the industry, PeeCee said:
“Stand shoulder-to-shoulder with my male counterparts, but at the same time, why is there just one of me when there are so many of them in the industry?”
Priyanka has again proved that mincing word is something that has never been her habit and it will never be.
