Shane Warne Comes In Support Of Dhoni

This season of IPL is not going well for Dhoni as he is failed to perform. After Virender Sehwag, Shane Warne has put his weight behind under-fire MS Dhoni for his form with the bat in the T20s.

He has not made a significant contribution to his team’s batting in this IPL 2017 and the pressure on Dhoni has been mounting ever since. He hasn’t had the best of starts and conversions even after moving higher up the order for RPS in the latest contest against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

His finishing skills called into question by critics, Mahendra Singh Dhoni on received firm backing from spin legend Shane Warne, who feels that former India captain doesn’t need to “prove anything to anyone”.

Warne on Tuesday took to Twitter to back Dhoni, who has been a phenomenal limited-overs cricketer.

“@msdhoni does not have to prove anything to anyone, he’s class & a wonderful player in all formats. MS is also a great captain & inspires!,” Warne wrote on his Twitter page.

MS known for his prolific hitting hasn’t been able to deliver the same explosive so far in the IPL season with a strike-rate of 87.14 and just two sixes hit in the five matches.
